Gluten free bagel

You’ll need:

200g Isabel’s pizza base mix
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
2 Tbsp veg. oil
50ml Water

Pre-heat the oven 180C (160C fan) Mix all the ingredients together to make the dough. Knead the dough for a few minutes.

Shape the dough into rings…

Take pieces of the dough and roll into a sausage shape, then make rings.
Drop the dough rings into boiling water and cook them for about a minute or until the dough puffs up about 3 times its original size.

Remove from the water with a slotted spoon, dry as much of the water as possible and place the bagels on a well greased baking tray.

Boil the dough for about a minute…

Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown with a firm crust.

Remove from the oven and let it cool down. Slice with a serrated knife and serve.

These bagel are suitable for freezing: After the boiling part place the bagels on greased baking tray and place it in the freezer for about 3 hours. after frozen place them into an airtight container or freezer bags. Bake direct from frozen in a pre-heated oven when required.
